Step 1: Display

v If you see an EPGY flashing light bulb, then you should tick the box “Yes” and press “Continue” button.

v If you do not see the light bulb, you will need to download the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) from Sun and try again.

v If cookies are not available, you should go to Tools| internet options| privacy and set to medium or low or add http://epgyschools.stanford.edu/inf/ to your allowed site

Step 2: Flash

v If you see a flash movie and hear a sound, then tick the box “Yes” and press “Continue” button.

v If you do not see the EPGY box, you’ll see the following picture.

v Then, you’ll need to download the latest version of Flash from Macromedia and try again.

v And you should disable any pop up blockers. (You can see the website: Disabling Pop-up Blocking Utilities)

Pop up blockers will result in your not being able to do Math Races or exercises after you finish listening to lectures.

· Yahoo Toolbar with Pop-Up Blocker

Look at your Yahoo toolbar.

(If you cannot find it, you should choose “View” -> “Toolbars” -> “Yahoo”)

And if you see a button just like this:

You have a pop-up blocker on your Yahoo toolbar, and it's enabled. Click the button to disable it. (After you disable it, you can see a button. )

· Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 with Service Pack 2

Windows XP Service pack 2 installs a pop-up blocker. Disable it as follows:

Open Internet Explorer
Go to "tools" menu, then "Pop-up Blocker"
Click "Turn off Pop-up Blocker".
Or if you will wish to retain the Pop Up Blocker for other sites while allowing the pop up for epgyschools, the you will need to add the site http://epgyschools.stanford.edu/inf/ to the Pop Up Blocker settings

Step 3: Database

v If you see the following picture, then you press “Continue” button.

Step 4: Bandwidth

v If you see the following picture, then you press “Continue” button.

Step 5: Finished

v If you see the following picture, then you press “Submit results” button.

You have passed the 4 tests only if you see three Oks and your bandwidth summary. If there is a NO anywhere, you have to repeat from step 1.

Result:

v After you press the “Submit results” button, you should see the following picture.
